In our course we will provide you with the necessary know-how to be able to bake bread and other baked goods at home ... ♥

The bread baking course

Together we bake various types of bread, rolls, pizza and sweet pastries. (All recipes come from my pen.) We do all the steps together, from preparing sourdough / pre-dough, kneading dough, shaping it and of course baking it. You can ask anything you always wanted to know and at the end there is also the opportunity to take away leavened sourdough and Lievito Madre.

Good and healthy bread and pastries only need a few good ingredients and the necessary know-how. In addition to good flour, the long dough maturity and sourdough ensure a delicious aroma, good digestibility and great freshness.

Our course is aimed at beginners and advanced learners who want to refresh and deepen their knowledge. Together it's “hands on the dough”! We will bake 3 different bread and 2 different roll recipes as well as a sweet pastry and pizza. The recipes are designed for variety and different levels of difficulty, so that there is something for all participants depending on their level of knowledge. At the end of the day, each participant can take the baked goods home with them.

We also bake in normal household ovens. In this way, what you have learned can also be implemented at home. From the first step of the sourdough feeding to the finished baked bread.

Agenda bread baking course 2020

Friday 3:00 p.m. - around 8:00 p.m.

  • Meeting point at the course location in Lippetal
  • Baking the first bread roll recipe
  • Preparing the sourdough / preliminary stages for the bread
  • Making some batter for long and cold proofing in the refrigerator
  • Dinner together with tasting of one of the recipes and discussion of the processes on the following day

Saturday 9:00 a.m. - approx. 5:00 p.m.

  • Production of various doughs for bread.
  • Baking bread and rolls, pizza and sweet pastries
  • Informative information on techniques, sourdoughs and answers to all questions.
  • Drinks and food are provided on site. Homemade baked goods are served for lunch and as a snack.
  • At the end of the course, each participant can take the baked goods home with them (“while stocks last”) and, if desired, various sourdoughs.

Bring with you: jar with lid (or screw-on jar / jars) for the sourdough mixture, basket or cloth bag for the baked goods. Apron is provided on loan.

The course location

The courses take place in Heidi's new baking school in Lippetal-Oestinghausen. (Directions here)

The room is completely new and specially furnished for the baking courses and offers space for 10 course participants + 2-3 speakers. A total of 6 modern household ovens and a large work surface are available.
