Yoghurt dressing (basic recipe for salad dressing)

Today I have a delicious and simple yogurt dressing for salads for you. It is super quick to prepare and very tasty with both simple green salads and mixed salads ... ♥

Joghurt-Dressing

This dressing actually goes well with almost all salad creations, which is why I think this quick salad dressing is simply great! Regardless of whether it's fresh raw vegetables, crunchy lettuce leaves or a large salad plate ... I've even used this sauce for wraps. Especially now in the summer I always like to have some of it in the fridge. If you eat a lot of salad or have a large family, you are welcome to prepare twice as much. The yogurt dressing can be kept in the refrigerator for at least 1 week. However, since it is prepared so quickly, it can always be reproduced quickly. That's why I haven't specified twice the amount here in the recipe, because personally I prefer it as fresh as possible - especially with the fresh herbs.

By adding different herbs, vinegar or oil you can wonderfully vary the taste of this recipe and change it again and again. So see this yoghurt dressing as a basic recipe that you can adapt to your needs ... ♥

Ingredients for the yogurt dressing

(for approx. 500 ml)

  • 50g creme fraîche
  • 300g Greek yogurt, 10% fat (low-fat variant also possible)
  • 50g white wine vinegar or Condimento Balsamico Bianco
  • 50g rapeseed oil or olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of salt / herbal salt
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar (more or less depending on your taste)
  • 2 teaspoons of mustard
  • 1/2 -1 bunch of fresh herbs, e.g. chives and parsley
  • optional: 1-2 teaspoons Herbal paste 
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic granules or 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ tsp onion granules or 1-2 shallots
  • pepper

Prepare yoghurt dressing:

  1. If necessary, finely chop the shallots and press through the garlic.
  2. Also finely chop the herbs or cut the chives into fine rolls.
  3. Mix in the remaining ingredients, stir in onions, garlic and herbs.
  4. Season again vigorously.
  5. Pour into a clean bottle or something similar.
  6. The yoghurt dressing can be kept in the refrigerator for approx. 1 week, shake well before serving.

PREPARATION WITH THE THERMOMIX®:

  1. If necessary, add the shallots and garlic to the mixing bowl, 3 sec / speed 5.
  2. Put all other ingredients in the mixing bowl (including herbs) and mix for 10 seconds / speed 8.
  3. Season again vigorously.
  4. Pour into a clean bottle or something similar.
  5. The yoghurt dressing can be kept in the refrigerator for approx. 1 week, shake well before serving.
